What is bodytite?
BodyTite is the first device to use radiofrequency energy to emulsify fat and help tighten skin.
Procedure
It is a minimally invasive procedure that shapes, compacts, and lifts the areas of the body with the greatest accumulation of fat. It is also recommended in cases of sagging skin after significant weight loss or aging. Some of the most common treatment areas are the abdomen, back, arms, chest, knees, and inner and outer thighs.
Duration
2 to 4 hours.
Anesthesia
A regional block is used, combined with intravenous anesthetics or it can also be with general anesthesia.
Hospitalization
You may spend 8 to 12 hours for observation, up to an overnight hospital stay.
Side Effects
Bruising, swelling, numbness, pain, or burning.
Risks
Infection, asymmetry, the rippling of the skin, and changes in color (hypo/hyper).
Recovery
The patient can return to work after six to ten days. Activities that require more significant effort, such as physical exercise, can be resumed after two to four weeks. The feeling of swelling and bruising will disappear from one to six months, depending on the amount of fat removed and the areas treated.
Results
It is usually permanent and can even be improved with a proper diet and regular exercise. The results may vary according to each person.
