What is Morpheus8?
It is a fractional radiofrequency that is applied with microneedles penetrating the subdermal tissue, coagulating the fat, and tightening the connective tissue. It is a minimally invasive and safe treatment with visible results from the first session. Fractionally reshapes and contours the face and body. Penetrating deep into skin and fat, transforming the aging face or body into a smoother, sleeker appearance for all skin tones.
Morpheus8 helps improve and reduce the appearance of:
- Facial and body scars.
- Skin texture problems, such as enlarged pores
- Sun damage and wrinkles or fine lines.
- Facial flaccidity and slight double chin.
Procedure
The treatment is relatively painless, even with the deepest penetration of the needles. The needles used are very fine and sharp, allowing the benefit of piercing the skin without the pulling sensation. To ensure your comfort, a cream will be applied to the treated area; you may feel a slight itching sensation followed by a warm sensation as the needles pass over your skin.
For a better result, three treatments are recommended, spaced between 6 and 8 weeks. Patients with acne scars and stretch marks may require 4-6 treatments. Each patient is different; the number of sessions will be determined according to their anatomy, health history, and aesthetic needs.
Since patient downtime is minimal, you can apply makeup 1-2 days after treatment.
Duration
The procedure lasts 60 minutes.
Anesthesia
Anesthetic gel is administered before the procedure or regional anesthesia with intravenous sedation.
Hospitalization
This procedure does not require hospitalization of the patient.
Side Effects
Patients should expect to see micro-injuries within days of treatment, swelling, mild burning, and slight redness for up to 1 week and be able to return to work the day after treatment.
Recovery
The treated area should be moisturized, and direct exposure to the sun should be avoided. It is recommended to use good broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing the future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.
Results
Visible results can be seen within a few days, but the most noticeable results usually appear after three weeks. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment. The results may vary according to each person.
